What is an ABS Tone Ring?
ABS ring, also known as ABS tone ring or reluctance ring, is a basic part in the vehicle’s anti-lock braking system (ABS).
The ABS sensor ring is mounted on the wheel hub or axle and works with a sensor to measure the rotational speed of the wheel.
As the wheel rotates, the teeth of the tone ring pass by the sensor, generating a signal that is sent to the ABS system.
These signals help the ABS system detect wheel speed and prevent the wheel from locking, guranteeing safe driving.
